Potato Cheese Croquette

Potato Cheese croquette is a classic dish: crispy potato on the outside with gooey molten cheese on the inside. Who can resist! This is a simple and easy to make dish and that is what makes this dish even more compelling to make at home.

Let’s begin.

Ingredients:

4 cups Dosa Batter
1 tablespoon Oil
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
½ cup Capsicum, chopped
½ cup Palak, chopped (Spinach)(optional)
2 cups Potato, boiled and mashed
1 cup Peas, boiled
1 teaspoon Red Chili powder
1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
Salt, to taste

 

Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

1. Add in salt and pepper to season while mashing the potato until smooth.

2. Make the potato into croquettes and split in a partition between. Add the shredded cheese and close.

3. Roll again between the palms of your hand to make it smooth and uniform.

4. Dust in a little corn flour and deep fry until golden brown.

 

 

 

Serve with the sauced of your choice. It goes well with tomato sauce, mayonnaise too.

Just Some Pointers:

1. Add in garam masala to give it an Indian twist, if you have people in home preferring Indian food.

2. You can add in variety of cheese to make the molten center. Try Gruyere cheese, cheddar and mozzarella.
